We are really happy to announce that GasLog has selected Seagull Maritime’s e-learning material & Competence Management platform for use fleet-wide, in manning offices & Online, along with the Crew Evaluation System for our main office in Greece.
The Seagull e-learning platform will gradually supersede Videotel training package currently installed on-board.
The benefits of Seagull platform, that led the company into making this decision, are the following:
- Cloud installation, meaning easier access from ashore (from Laptop, tablet or smartphone)
- Server installation on-board, meaning no more waiting lines (simultaneous training for all)
- Courses up to date and developed by expert mariners

- Automated exchange of data between shore & vessel
- Interactive communication via theory and verification (assessment); moving out of passive monitoring (video watching)
- Immediate access to the completion status of pending obligations for all seafarers

Please be advised that over the next weeks Seagull’s Computer Based Training (CBT) package will arrive on board (small server) that needs to be installed in the vessel’s network PCs. Relevant instructions will be forwarded by our ICT department.
In this system the Seagull Training Administrator (STA) manages all training records and reports and has available the entire On-board Training Library of Computer Based Training (CBT) titles. It is customized to include our company’s personnel and training requirements as well as software features that help with competence management and knowledge assessment.
Detailed instructions for use will be forwarded at a later stage, once we are ready to commence Seagull's Computer Based Training program.
